Kim Taylor is a self-taught textile artist, Speech-Language Pathologist, and administrator at a local school for the Deaf. Her acclaimed story quilts have been on exhibit at the African American Museum in Hempstead New York, a local Mayor’s office and many other venues.

Kim Taylor is a self-taught textile artist, Speech-Language Pathologist, and school administrator. Her story quilts have been exhibited at the African American Museum in Hempstead, New York, a local Mayor’s office, and various venues across Long Island. Her debut children’s book, "A Flag for Juneteenth," is inspired by one of her story quilts. An avid reader, Kim enjoys adventure-filled stories with creative characters. In her free time, she enjoys birdwatching, meditating, and gardening.
